Timothy P. Murphy, M.D. spent 25 years as an Interventional Radiologist and clinical trialist achieving the rank of Full Professor, Research Track, at Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He is a Past President of the Society of Interventional Radiology and recipient of the Charles T. Dotter Award in 2018. 

Dr. Murphy served in leadership roles of three NIH-sponsored vascular disease clinical trials (CORAL, CLEVER, and ATTRACT), and has published over 200 journal articles and given more than 185 presentations worldwide. 

Dr. Murphy joined Summa Therapeutics full time in 2018, a commercial-stage company currently field testing its FDA-cleared novel injectable angioplasty balloon catheter. Dr. Murphy is also a Founder of Anaxiom.
